Batteries Unlimited was founded in 1986 under the name Zanesville Battery by Richard Oliver and Kent Curry. Originally building their own car batteries by hand and selling commercially to local businesses and residents.  As demand grew they switched  from hand built to partnering with national manufacturers to meet the growing business demand. 

 

     As the demand for batteries grew over the years product lines grew from vehicle starting batteries, to including batteries for cell phones, digital cameras, power tools, mobility scooters, and much more. Paired with the expansion of a new location in Heath ,  Lancaster, and now Mount Vernon the business transitioned from Zanesville Battery to Batteries Unlimited.
